The necessity of microprocessor-based computer hardware systems has increased as a result of the advancement in technology. Now we are able to create any desirable and portable system with emerging technologies. In this paper, we present an Arduino-based computer hardware system that can be used to measure the height of a person with the help of ultrasonic sensors. The ultrasonic sensor detects the height or the distance of the object from the reference level with accuracy. Therefore, the sensor is considered as the key elements of the embedded system. The sensor is interfaced using Arduino Nano board and programmed using Arduino IDE. Other important components are the potentiometer and Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). This method of detecting distance using an ultrasonic sensor is precise, accurate, and effective. The purpose of this project is to create a portable height measurement device that is eco-friendly and cost effective.
