This research is an initial study to map the level of vulnerability of buildings on the site of Campus I, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY) as an effort to plan disaster mitigation accessibility, especially for earthquakes and fire hazard that often follow. The two main buildings were taken as research objects by considering the age of the buildings which are quite old (Building B) and the important functions they serve as the university administration area (Building A). The research method uses descriptive qualitative analysis method by means of measurement and direct observation of the object of observation. The level of fidelity is obtained from measurements using micro-tremor analysis of the FSR (floor spectral ratio). From the results of the vulnerability value obtained, and continued with the mapping of vulnerable and safety zoning.
This study aims to (1) determine the level of vulnerability of buildings to seismic vibrations in Building A and Building B as a reference for determining the path of movement in the building during disaster evacuation; and (2) mapping the indoor and outdoor safety zones in Building A and Building B, so that self-rescue efforts can be carried out quickly and safely in the event of a disaster.
