Technological developments in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and current world conditions during a pandemic have an impact on the learning process. The purpose of this research is to develop animation-based learning media and to find out the response of students to the developed media, especially in the face of pandemic conditions and current technological developments. This research method uses research and development (R&D) methods adopted from Borg and Gall by modifying it according to the needs of this research which includes: (1) research and initial information collection; (2) media planning; (3) initial product development; (4) expert validation; (5) product analysis and revision; (6) Field Trial; (7) Final product revision. The results of the Material Expert Validation show the results of the material validity, which are categorized as very valid with a percentage of 85.0%. The results of Ahi Media's validation show the results of media validity of 88.5% which are categorized as very valid. The results of students' responses to animation-based learning media showed positive results with a percentage value of 91.11%, this shows that animation media for wood connection materials can be used in the learning process
