The global spread of the Covid-19 has made a great impact on all the spheres of our life, including the entire educational system. The pandemic has revealed vulnerabilities of distant learning on the one hand, but it has also showed extraordinary human resourcefulness and potential on the other. In this research, the circumstances, and basic challenges of coronavirus on the educational system have been analyzed, possible solutions of reshaping the educational system in the Post-pandemic Era are being proposed. By taking Chelyabinsk Institute of Railway Transport — a branch of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education Ural State University of Railway Transport (CHIRT, USURT) as an example, based on the case-study analysis, it is found that the reasons behind such impact include declines in employment, slowed globalization, lack of social competence. To help the higher educational institutions get through difficulties amid pandemic and to provide sustainable development of educational process, several possible strategies are being proposed in this paper.
