The paper presents the microorganisms main ecological and trophic groups number results detected in vermicomposting substrates based on wastewater residues and brewer’s grain. In the experiment’ all variants, the microorganisms’ number remains high, including sanitary indicative microorganisms and sulfite-reducing clostridium, which does not correspond to sanitary and hygienic standards. In addition, microscopic fungi 6 genera were found in the vermicomposted substrates.
