The biological aspects of microbial colonization of the visual organ are revealed on the example of a biological model of dogs. The article presents the results of studies conducted to study the qualitative composition of microflora in purulent and fibrinous conjunctivitis in dogs. The proportion of microbial-positive samples was determined. We have studied the biological and biochemical properties of the isolated microorganisms. Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Enterobacter spp. in associations. Primary studies were conducted to evaluate the antimicrobial activity in vivo of the biological technology of phagolysis of bacterial pathogens. A prototype of a drug based on a cocktail of bacteriophages for active action on biological targets has been formed. The results of our studies have shown a high comparable antibacterial effectiveness of phage therapy in the treatment of infectious and inflammatory pathologies of the visual organ in dogs. Thus, the use of preparations based on bacteriophages is promising for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory eye diseases.
