Colored minks are widespread - more than 200 color variations of hair color are known. Currently, breeding in fur farming continues. One of the latest breeding achievements is the mink ampalosapphire. An important feature of the new breed of animals is the body size and growth of the organism during the postnatal period, which does not occur evenly, but goes through certain phases. During different periods, the organism requires appropriate conditions, in the presence of which its further development takes place. As a result of studies on the growth of mink from birth to adulthood, data are accumulated that are necessary for the proper organization of measures for the rearing and feeding of animals. When analyzing the dynamics and intensity of growth of young animals, it was found that sexual dimorphism in body weight of male and female minks of the ampalosapphire genotype was absent at one-day of age. From the 5th to the 7th decade of life, the most intensive growth of mink of the ampalosapphire genotype of both sexes was recorded. Body weight gain in ampalosapphire mink pups does not stop after 3-4 months of age, but it occurs more intensively in males than in females.
