In the work, the rational diameter of a pipeline was determined using neural network modeling. The optimal diameter of a pipeline is found on the basis of a technical and economic calculation of costs. According to the model, operating costs decrease and capital costs increase with an increase in the pipeline diameter, which is confirmed by experimental data. The error of the neural network model was less than 5%.
