This work evaluates the impact of the gas separator on the energy efficiency of the ESP. Using the methods of mathematical modeling based on the description of the flow of a multiphase flow in the elements of the well, the energy consumption of the unit is compared during operation with and without a gas separator. Criteria for the use of gas separators as part of an ESP, depending on the flow and head of the pump, have been obtained.
