The article investigates a compact annular antenna array with a circular radiation pattern in the horizontal plane with horizontal polarization of the radiation field. The antenna consists of four frame (loop) radiators arranged in a circle. Each loop radiator is shaped as a sector of a circle. The antenna array is powered by a quarter-wave transformer with a characteristic impedance of 25 ohms. The antenna diameter is close to 0.25λ, the perimeter of each loop radiator is 0.45λ. The irregularity of the antenna directional pattern in the plane of vector E is no greater than 0.1 dB. In the vertical plane, the radiation has a figure eight pattern. The antenna’s operating bandwidth is 5.1%. Experimental radiation patterns in the plane of vectors E and H are shown.
