The paper presents the results of studies of the characteristics of ultrawideband radiation when a combined antenna is excited by 500 and 200 ps duration bipolar pulses. The combined antenna with dimensions of 60×65×55 mm3 (width×height× length) is optimized in numerical calculations as an array element of a hybrid antenna for radiation of high-power bipolar pulses with a duration of 500 ps. The antenna can also be used to radiate high-power bipolar pulses with duration of 200 ps. The antenna efficiency by the peak electric field strength and the energy efficiency reach 0.8 and 0.9, respectively.
