To the study of the shape of the roller contact curves of a two-roll module

A two-roll module is considered, in which the rollers are inclined to the right relative to the vertical line, the diameters of the rollers are not the same, the rollers have elastic coatings of different stiffness, and the layer of material is fed downward. The shapes of the contact curves of the rollers in the two-roll module considered in the article are described for the case when, in the process of interaction, the deformation of the layer of material occurs in the vertical direction. The equations obtained for the contact curves of the rollers are general in the sense that they are applicable for particular cases of contact interaction in two-roll modules. Therefore, they can be used to establish the distribution patterns of contact stresses, as well as to determine the energy-power parameters in the design of technological roller machines.
