In this work, the operation of sucker rod pumping units (SRPU) is analyzed. The reliability of operation of these installations depends not only on the design and quality of manufacture, but also on the mode and conditions of operation. There are many factors that affect the performance of SRPU, starting from the design of the well, to the processes occurring in the reservoir itself. One of the main elements that determine the duration of operation of sucker rod installations is the column of pumping rods. The influence of the geological, physical and technological parameters of the well on the operating time of the rod pumping units is studied by the methods of multivariate regression analysis; the regression equation for predicting the period of their failure-free operation is obtained; the influence of the well profile curvature on the efficiency of pump rods is established. Based on the results of statistical processing of field data on the breakage of rods, the density curve of distribution of the uptime of rod pump is obtained.
