In this work we analyze the production of chlorine and caustic soda by the method of diaphragm electrolysis. The production of chlorine, hydrogen and electrolytic alkali is a dangerous process, accompanied by unfavorable conditions in the working area, and the raw materials and the resulting products are toxic to people, so it is necessary to exclude the influence of the human factor on the production process. In the existing management system, much attention is paid not only to the regulation of technological parameters, but also to the management of quality indicators of the control process, technical and economic efficiency. To get better products, it is necessary to improve the process control algorithms. In this regard, to optimize the process, the article presents the development of a mathematical model of an automated control system for the production of diaphragm electrolysis. The output variables are the current output, the NaOH concentration, the volume fraction of Cl2 in electrolytic chlorine, the volume fraction of H2 in electrolytic chlorine, the volume fraction of H2 in electrolytic hydrogen, and the volume fraction of O2 in electrolytic hydrogen.
