The market for modern machine-building structures is a complex system consisting of many elements that are exposed as different external influences as different operational requirements. Failure of any element during operation entails significant costs for the restoration of equipment for its operation. Therefore, already at the design stage, it is necessary to develop technologies that could provide a high level of reliability. The analysis of numerous studies has shown that the main reason for the failure of machine-building structures lies in the processes occurring in the contact zone of mating parts and assembly units of complex systems. The main content of this work is research aimed at studying the processes occurring in the contact of solids under dynamic loading. The result of the research is analytical dependencies with the help of that it is possible to calculate the parameters of the deformable state of contacting solids under dynamic external influence.
