The paper explores the possibility of leveraging automated service composition in order to simplify the development of decision support systems. In particular, it proposes a) a way of using OWL-S description framework to describe services that can be used in constructing (service-oriented) DSSs, and b) a method for describing the goal of composition. The proposed approach opens a way for automatically creating service compositions, which would possess certain features (functional and non-functional).
