The economies of developing countries are increasingly based on research and development, which are embodied in knowledge-intensive technologies. The analysis of methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the activities of scientific organizations in developing countries is carried out. To assess the effectiveness of scientific organizations, it is proposed to use verbal expert methods that do not require cumbersome and time-consuming calculations of a set of numerical indicators and weight coefficients.
