The article covers the results of research of historical mortar of the Ismail Samani mausoleum, the Kalyan minaret, as well as modified solution developed for their restoration based on local gypsum. It has been shown that the structure of the latter practically does not differ from the structure of the mortar of monuments of national architecture. Moreover, the strength of the mortar is sufficient and meets the requirements of existing building codes. Deep and comprehensive study of the building materials used in their building allows the development of identical modified solutions to preserve the value of architectural monuments and their efficient restoration.
