The study investigates the effects of salt concentration ratio on the impact strength and fracture toughness of the polyester resin and composite material. The impact specimens prepared from polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass at weight fraction variation of (0%, 15%, 25%, 35%, 45%) immersed for forty days at different environmental conditions of salt ratio (15%, 35%, and 55%). The salty environment consists of 99.9% salt and 0.008% magnesium carbonate and potassium iodide. The experimental results demonstrate the increasing of the impact strength (Gc) with ratios (2.25%, 1.87%, 2.94 and 1.83%) while the fracture toughness (Kc) increased with ratios (24.42%, 3.64%, 2.34%, and 6.21%) at weight fraction (15%, 25%, 35% and 45%) due to increasing the salt concentration ratio from 15% to 55%. The impact strength (Gc) and fracture toughness (Kc) of polyester increased with ratio (55.39%) due to increasing the salt concentration ratio from (15%) to (55%).
