We discuss the theoretical problems involved in relating the γN→πN and N(e,e′π) data to the γN→Δ,N* transition form factors. The experimental accuracies needed to explore γN→Δ E2 and charge form factors from p(e,e′π0) spin observables are presented. We point out the difference between a unitary approach and that used by Stoler in his recent analysis of N→Δ transition form factors.
