Engineering students are traditionally given project work as part of their engineering curriculum. There is a need for making engineering students to learn creative skills apart core engineering skills. The present study reports about an innovative course called media project has been designed and implemented as a course for under graduate engineering students. This course makes the students to identify societal problems apart from engineering /technology or problems. The Media project covered aspects like story writing skills, production skills, screenplay, audio- video capturing, direction and editing. The course demonstrated team working skills. Investigation was carried out to measure the output of the course through feedback from students. Course design and implementation protocols like media project objectives, contents covered, implementation procedure and pedagogy are also presented. Structured survey results indicated the experiences of students in making documentary and short films. Future work can be taken up to design and develop a course to design and make the CV or Resume of students in Audio-visual form and can be a strong non-contact interview/communication between job aspirants and employer under the pandemic situation.
