In construction sector Prime Contractor/ Main Contractor carry out the primary activities and other works are outsourced from sub-contractors at site. The key aim and objective of this study is to know the important aspects that affects in management of sub-contractors on construction projects. Sub-contractor are important stakeholders in construction projects. Managing sub-contractors are very important process in construction projects. A prime contractor should have strategies to how to manage the sub-contractors in most efficient way to achieve the desirable targets. The previous studies have focused more on evaluation of sub-contractors, without paying attention rather than understating its important of managing them. Understanding the relationship between a prime contractor and a subcontractor is crucial for a successfully delivering projects. The survey was carried out to determine important factors in managing the sub-contractors efficiently. The study uncovered eight significant influences on the management of subcontractors on-site, including communication, follow-up, scheduling, tracking, WIP, scope, preparedness, and reputation.
