Quang Ninh is a province on the northeastern coast of Vietnam. In addition to the outstanding values of the world natural heritage Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh also has a rich and diverse historical-cultural relic system, which is a resource for cultural tourism development. However, at present, the exploitation of the system of historical and cultural relics for tourism activities in Quang Ninh province has many shortcomings. The article focuses on analyzing the status of exploitation in special national-level monuments: Historical relics and Yen Tu landscapes; Tran Dynasty relic; Bach Dang historical relic area and Cua Ong Temple to serve tourism development in Quang Ninh province. On that basis, propose a number of solutions to preserve and promote the role of historical and cultural relics in tourism development according to the sustainable local direction.
