In this work, the analysis of the rectification column of the atmospheric block of the electric desalting plant is carried out. In the existing management system, much attention is paid not only to regulation by technological parameters, but also to management by indicators of the quality of the management process, technical and economic efficiency. To get better products, it is necessary to improve the process control algorithms. In this regard, cascade control loops are implemented to optimize the atmospheric distillation process. For their implementation and operation, it is necessary to search for the optimal settings of the regulator. Due to the fact that the parameters of real technological objects change over time in production, it is necessary to periodically reconfigure the regulators. Manual adjustment of the regulators is rather laborious. And therefore, in order to improve the quality of the procedure, it is necessary to develop an algorithm for their search, as well as the selection of a criterion. This work is devoted to the implementation of cascade control loops, the determination of the optimization method and the search for the best criterion.
