The term ‘Emotional Intelligence (EI)’ refers to the capability to recognizing and regulating the emotions in ourselves and others (Goleman,2001). The objective is to find out the relationship between demographic factors and emotional intelligence factors in this study. Also to analyze the impact of Emotional intelligence factors on workplace happiness of the faculty in Bangalore. The researcher selected 300 respondents as sample size. In this study, the researcher adopted convenient sampling method for selecting the sample. The faculties of private Engineering colleges were the target audience as respondents. The emotional intelligence tool has been constructed and standardized by Baron (The Bar-On model of emotional-social intelligence (ESI) developed in 1982) which is popularly known as Baron's tool. This scale consists of 66 items, measuring 10 dimensions. the emotional intelligence factors empathy, self-regard, problem solving, Emotional self-awareness, Interpersonal relationship, impulse control, flexibility, stress tolerance and reality are in good level and some of assertiveness aspects (stand up for their rights and hesitate to say no in their disagree situations) among teaching faculty is in moderate level and there is a need for encouragement activities and training programs on assertiveness by the institutions or the education board to improve their faculties’ assertiveness level. Assertive level of 0 to 5 years of experienced faculties are lower than the experienced faculties. High experienced faculties are moderate in assertiveness because they are close to management. The empathy level of all category experienced faculties are in good level.
