In this work, antioxidant properties of natural and synthesized polyphenols were studied by the potentiometric method using the K3[Fe(CN)6] / K4[Fe(CN)6] system. It was found, that the antioxidant capacity depends on the number and position of OH-groups in the antioxidant molecule, as well as on the presence of other substituents. Based on the obtained data, the relationships were revealed, which can then be used for the targeted synthesis of new molecules as promising drugs for the treatment of the diseases associated with damage to macromolecules by free radicals.
