The article deals with the problem of studying mathematics by first-year students of engineering specialties in the conditions of e-learning. Modern digital technologies expand the methodological capabilities of the lecturer for math teaching. On the one side, making beautiful presentations contributes to a good perception of math educational information. On the other side, the comfortable conditions of e-learning relax the student. Technical devices for copying information allow you to accumulate educational material without learning material. In the context of e-learning, students do not take good note taking. This leads to deterioration in math performance. The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of pedagogical observations, a survey of students, and a certification of academic performance in mathematics.
