The modern organic reactor for treatment of waste water includes, Fixed Bed Biofilm Reactor (FBBR). Microbes (bacteria/fungi) are the most dominant eco- friendly factor for the disintegration and detoxification of industrial contaminants across with organic waste removal. In this paper, a comparison has been made to compute the efficiency of biological treatment using ASP (Activated Sludge Process) and FBBR technique. Extensive research has been conveyed out to discover suitable, optimal and logical combination of carbon and nitrogen sources for bacterial growth. The result of various pH values on the bacterial growth was measured and optimized. In this study, an attempt is made to minimize sludge formation along with increased bacterial population using biofilm technology. Finally, efficiency of treatment for ASP and FBBR was analyzed. The COD removal efficiency of ASP is enhanced up to 85% by FBBR in the research.
