Determine the sensitivity of Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus haemolyticus to essential oils (EOs) and investigate the anti-biofilm activity. Ten isolates were taken from the microbiology laboratory in the Department of biology at the College of Education for Girls, initially diagnosed as Staphylococci, then tests by The VITEK-2compact (ID and AST) system for confirmation of the compact system genus Staphylococcus aureus. Three isolates due to Staphylococcus aureus were seen in the diagnostic result and one isolation was due to Staphylococcus haemolyticus. The sensitivity from S. aureus and S. haemolyticus to the formation of the biofilm was investigated in the presence and absence of glucose s which showed a greater ability to form the biofilm in the presence of glucose.Penicillin C and Moxifloxacin were investigated with the concentrations of Sub-MIC, MIC, and Sub-Sub-MIC, The ones used to inhibit the formation of Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus haemolyticus biofilm depending on the type of isolation. The synergistic action was also tested between lemon oil and penicillin G and Moxifloxacin, The result was a synergistic action between the two antibiotics and lemon oil was the most efficient to prevent biofilm formation.
