This study is concerned with the influence of different time of aging on mechanical characteristics of Aluminum Alloy 6061. After the solution treatment had been done to the samples at 550°C for (4)hrs. and the specimen quenched in water after that, the specimens had been artificially aged (at 200°C) for different time (1, 2, 3 and 4) hours and also followed by quenching in water. Mechanical tests like tensile, fatigue, hardness and microstructure tests have been done to the samples to find the influence of changing time of aging on the mechanical properties. Results show; increasing aging time (up to 4) hours will increase the properties of the 6061 aluminum alloy. This increase in aging time increases the hardness, ultimate stress, yield strength and fatigue strength of the 6061 Al-alloy by 65%, 23%, 25% and 12% respectively. And the maximum fatigue strength was equal 122 MPa obtained at 550°C solution treatment for 4 hours and 200°C aging for 4 hours.
