Invention of multiferroic materials, in particular Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3; BFO), made them the key area of research. BFO is well known important multiferroic material for theoretical studies as well as for commercial applications. In this review we discuss in brief about the BFO. We discuss different synthesis techniques of BFO and their effect on its magnetic properties. A brief comparison has been carried out to study the influence of different synthesis techniques of BFO on magnetic properties in terms of saturation magnetization, remnant magnetization and coercivity.
