Until recently, physics has been considered as one of the most challenging subjects for students due to the various calculation and formula memorization. Plenty of studies stated that students’ learning difficulties are caused by inappropriate methods used by the teachers. They still employ conventional approaches, implying low students’ learning motivation. Many studies revealed that students’ motivation could be overcome by using interactive media. But then again, other reports claimed that they were not well accommodated due to the poor of students’ kinesthetic involvement. Therefore, we developed the media technology combined with a traditional Indonesian game as a solution to facilitate interactive learning. In this study, simple harmonic motion (SHM) was chosen as the material provided in the produced media. We adapted a modified-ADDIE model to develop the physics learning media. In this present study, the report focuses on the development of the media which integrated modern technology and traditional game. Engklek (hopscotch) was opted as the conventional game which then designed in such a way that it was convenient to be implemented in physics learning. Several puzzles and quizzes utilizing a modern Macromedia Flash player were also incorporated to trigger students during the learning process. The appropriateness of the developed product GATA-FISIKA was obtained from the product validation and the readability test. The product validation was done by experts, and the readability was tested to 28 students in a senior high school in Malang, Indonesia. Our study discovered that GATA-FISIKA can be effectively used for interactive physics learning with excellent feasibility and readability. In addition, we also reported the step-by-step guide on how to use GATA-FISIKA for teaching.
