Chemical literacy is an importantance skills for students in the 21st century. This study aims to determine the level of chemical literacy skills of senior high school students on aspects of competencies and attitude. This research was a survey research with 110 students in East Java, Indonesia as research subjects. Data collection techniques using the test method and questionnaire. Tests were used to measure students chemical literacy skills on aspects of competencies and questionnaires on aspects of attitude. Based on the results of research, it was known that the average level of chemical literacy skills of students on the competencies aspect was 44.2, and on attitude aspect was 79.4. These results indicate that students chemical literacy abilities on the aspect of competencies (explain phenomena scientifically, evaluate and design scientific enquiry, interpret data and evidence scientifically) were low category, and on the attitude aspect (interest in chemistry, valuing scientific approaches enquiry, and environmental awareness) were high category.
