The atomic structures of two unit cells of the icosahedral quasicrystal are constructed considering that of β‐rhombohedral boron. The semiconducting amorphous films, the compositions of which are almost B, B4C, or B13P2, were prepared by electron beam evaporation. Annealing effect is not apparent up to 1100°C. Optical absorption spectra of the films were fitted by αℏω=const. (ℏω−E0)n. The exponent n is 2.5–3 for the all films, while it has been 2 in many amorphous materials.
