Indium-zinc oxide nanofibers are synthesized by electrospinning. Spectral dependences of the photocurrent for the samples with the indium to zinc concentration ratio of about 1:1 are measured in the wavelength range 300 to 500 nm. It is shown that the UV photosensitivity enhancement is not due to a material bandgap change, and it is suggested that the possible mechanism is associated with surface defect-induced unsaturated bonds acting as additional sites for oxygen adsorption responsible for photoconductivity.
