The recently emergent concept of coherently enhanced wireless power transfer (WPT) facilitates efficient and stable energy conveyance. Here, we demonstrate the feasibility of the coherent method to enhance the WPT efficiency for an innovative scenario of a WPT smart table. The smart table consists of a metasurface supporting surface waves excited by a transmitting antenna. We demonstrate that WPT efficiency of the system can be drastically increased by coherent excitation. The results of this work pave a way towards efficacious and more stable WPT technologies.
