In recent years, the ability to manipulate both electric and magnetic components of light along with strongly reduced heat losses in comparison with plasmonics, has rendered all-dielectric nanophotonics as one of the hottest research fields in the photonics community. A plethora of exciting effects have been discovered and are currently in the process of being implemented in real-world applications. Among them, one of the most interesting are the so-called anapole states, allowing to minimize scattering from an object while keeping enhanced near fields. Here, we exploit the quasi-normal mode (QNM) formalism to discuss the origin of a novel regime, where the hybridization of four anapole states takes place in the visible region. We rigorously show that the effect is formed due to the interference of a Mie-like mode and a Fabry- Perot-like mode with the incident wave.
