The influence of Nano particles on mechanical properties of cement mortar has been investigated in this paper. Nano silica (SiO2), Titanium dioxide (TiO2) and Aluminium oxide (Al2O3) have been replaced in the place of cement in 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% and with the addition of 0.4% of Polycarboxylate admixture in the cement mortar. The Nano particles added to the cement mortar filled up their pores. The research aims to improve the mechanical properties of cement mortar by using Nano concrete materials and mineral admixtures. Their mechanical properties have been investigated through the compression test, their particle composition and its arrangements are analyzed through the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD). In comparison with the standard mortar cube the results shows that the replacement of Nano particles are very effective in increasing the mechanical properties of cement mortar and also indicates that 2% of Aluminium oxide (Al2O3) is most effective when compared to Nano silica and Titanium dioxide. The use of Al2O3 reduces the setting time as well as increases the strength of the mortar in heavy range when compared to Nano silica and Titanium dioxide.
