The car windshield glass is very problematic to recycle due to its sandwich structure, which consists of layers of glass and plastic film. However, the glass can be separated from the foil by a suitable process and subsequently used as an admixture in ceramic materials. The influence of waste glass in kaolin based mixtures on a mass change, a thermal expansion, and reactions occurring during thermal treatment is studied. The samples are subjected to thermal analyzes, namely, differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetry, and thermodilatometry. The results show that the mass loss decreases with waste glass content in the samples at higher temperatures, and the influence of a waste glass on a thermal expansion is only at temperatures above 1000 °C.
