Lead free polycrystalline ceramic sample of Cr doped BZT with composition BaZr0.045(CrxTi1-3x/4)0.955O3 (x=0.02) was synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The investigated study gives a basic idea about structural and dielectric properties of Cr-doped BZT ceramics. Using XRD technique the formation of the single phase crystalline structure was confirmed. The dielectric properties were measured using impedence analyzer in the wide frequency (10Hz to 10MHz) and temperature range (room temperature to 400°C). The static value of dielectric constant at high frequencies was observed which evidences the relaxor type behavior of ferroelectric. The considerable shifting of Curie temperature towards higher temperature (from 387K to 397K) supports ferroelectricity in Cr doped BZT ceramics which makes it a suitable candidate for energy storage and sensor applications.
