Based on analytical system, UV-Vis spectrophotometer can be divided into two types, single beam, and double beam. This research will look at the influence of the type of spectrophotometer is used to validate the method of determining nitrite. Validation parameters are compared is the limit of detection (LOD), the limit of quantification (LOQ), linearity, precision, and accuracy. A t-test was carried out to see the difference in validation parameters for the two types of spectrophotometers. The results showed that there was no difference in performance between single and double beam spectrophotometers for the determination of nitrite concentration in samples, LOD, LOQ, linearity, and precision. The difference in the performance of the two spectrophotometers is indicated by the value of accuracy. The double beam UV-Vis spectrophotometer has better accuracy about 89.96%.
