We have designed an all-optical wavelength converter using four wave mixing phenomena in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). The design is simulated using Optisystem Software 16.0 to show the conversion of data from an input wavelength to a desired output wavelength. Using this design, we have shifted the data signal in OOK, NRZ format by 1.6 nm from 1553.52 nm to1551.72 nm. However good quality factor(Q > 6) is obtainedwhen bit rate is less than 10Gbps.
