With consideration of scaling limits on subwavelength Metamaterial Split Ring Resonator (SRR) Structure, selection of metal plays important role to achieve blue shift at resonance frequency. When dimension is reduced inertial inductance becomes more dominating over magnetic or geometric inductance and magnetic response of the SRR diminished. To improve performance of SRR it is essential to increase magnetic response and drops inertial inductance of the SRR. This model describes the effectiveness of Fermi energy on inertial inductance and its impact on device performance. On, introducing more gaps in SRR and choosing metal with high Fermi energy, SRR serves better results include blue shift in resonance frequency and increase in negative permeability bandwidth.
