We demonstrate the quantum effects on stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in magnetized semiconductor quantum plasma having strain dependent dielectric constants (SDDC) using quantum hydrodynamic (QHD) model. The analysis was performed for variation in threshold for the onset of SBS and resulting gain with cyclotron frequency, wave number, plasma frequency and pump field. It is found that quantum correction lowers the threshold pump field required to incite the SBS process. Due to presence of SDDC and quantum effect significant enhancement in the Brillouin gain is observed. We found that the magnitude of third order Brillouin susceptibility obtained from our analysis agrees well with other reported values.
