Microwave filters are of cardinal significance in the perpetually developing sphere of multiband communications. To circumvent the acute limitations obtruded by the conventional electronic filtering schemes on passband tunability and configurability, comprehensive research on microwave photonic filters is conducted and multitudinous techniques have been proposed. Realizing the filters in optical domain yields substantial advantages in terms of low loss and high bandwidth. A propitious and simple way to implement RF multiband filters with high frequency tuning capability is proposed in this paper. The frequency selection and tuning is facilitated by altering the wavelength spacing of a multi-wavelength source.
