In order to study the epidemic characteristics of dengue fever and provide scientific basis for effective control of dengue fever, the data of dengue fever infection in city A from 2007 to 2018 were analyzed. From 2007 to 2018, a total of 24,320 dengue cases were reported in city A, including 66 epidemic fever outbreaks. The annual morbidity of local infections was 0∼525.36/100000. The outbreaks mainly occurred from August to November, accounting for 99.44% of the total number of cases. The epidemic lasted for a minimum of 14 days (2007) and a maximum of 170 days. (2015), and the median was 60.5 days. The top three towns with the highest cumulative incidence are a, b, and c with the respective cumulative incidence of 1455.14/100000, 1123.02/100000, and 1111.05/100000. The last three towns with the lowest cumulative incidence are t, u and v with the respective cumulative incidence of 222.31/100000, 188.82/100000, 68.06/100000. Young adults from 20 to 49 years old were mainly the infected people in the outbreak cases, accounting for 63.59%. There were 12130 male patients and 12190 female patients with the male and female sex ratio of 1:1.005. The epidemic characteristics of dengue fever in city A are as follows: imported cases coexist with local transmission, sporadic cases coexist with multiple outbreaks, seasonal outbreaks. So the density of mosquito vectors should be controlled as early as possible to reduce outbreaks.
