The present article deals with approaches to calculating a reciprocating gas engine-driven piston compressor for the contraction of natural gas for long-term extraction in conditions of depleted gas formations. Such a task is highly relevant for the gas extraction industries in terms of cost reduction of the extraction of gas. The application of the proposed methodology makes it possible to decrease the final cost of output, which implies an increase in business profitability.
