A novel measure for the estimation of geometrical synchronization between two time series via attractor reconstruction techniques is proposed in this paper. The developed algorithm maps both data signals onto smaller vectors describing the geometrical features of the series and compares reduced data vectors via correlation techniques. An application of the developed technique for the quantification of synchronization between heart rate variability and Earth’s local magnetic field is presented.
