The number of cancer patients is estimated to be growing so need to look for a solution of how to treat the disease. MalignantBurkitt’s lymphomaoral cell is the aggressive cancer cells that originated in cancer Lymphoma in particular lymphocytes B and generally occurs in populations of children. Cancer therapy in General done by surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or a combination therapy is known to have many adverse side effects. Herbal treatment for cancer has advantages, i.e., minimal side effects than conventional therapies. Myrmecodia pendan Merr & Perry a plant that has the content of andrographolide compounds as anticancer compounds. This research aims to test the potential of fraction ethyl acetat of Myrmecodia pendans Merr & Perry in the induction of apoptosis against of Burkitt’s lymphoma oral cells. This research is experimental in vitro laboratories. Burkitt’s lymphoma oral cell oral cells given the treatment of fraction ethyl acetat of leaves of Myrmecodia pendans Merr & Perry and concentration (0; 37,5;75; 112,5; 150 and 300) μg/ml. sitotoksisitas Test is performed using the method MTT [3-(4,5-dimetiltiazol-2-yl)-2.5-DIF. - Diphenyl tetrazolium bromide] quantitative nature. Test of apoptosis using the method of double staining with ethidium bromide dye substances granting and acridine orange Burkitt’s lymphomaoral cells who previously have done incubation for 24 hours. Observation of cells undergoing apoptosis using fluorescence microscopy. Data analysis using statistical tests one way Anova. The results showed that the fraction ethyl acetat of Myrmecodia pendans Merr & Perry has the potential in the induction of apoptosis in Raji cells at concentrations of 150 µg/ml by the average cell undergoes apoptosis as much as 42.90%. The conclusions indicate that fraction ethyl acetat of Myrmecodia pendans Merr & Perry has the potential in the induction of apoptosis in Malignant Burkitt’s lymphoma oral cell.
