Dewatering and drying is one of the important parts in municipal sludge treatment and disposal. In this paper, the sludge rapid dewatering process was studied and put into simulation in sewage treatment plant in pilot scale. The advantages of the two processes of “gravity concentration + conditioning press” and “mechanical concentration + conditioning press” were compared, and the formulation of conditioning reagent was selected and optimized. Compared with gravity concentration, mechanical concentration efficiency is higher. Adding the filtering reagent B had the advantages of high dry-base treatment efficiency, neutral pH and low moisture content after dewatering, which met the requirements of moisture content and pH for subsequent aerobic composting. Finally, the stability of this process and its system were further tested verified in practical production.
